SHELTER II

Concept sequel of a modern individual sanctuary which provides security by making
a model of the shelter
Working together, the students will construct the model of a modern sanctuary which can
be imbedded into the environment and can refine the school environment (yard, school
atrium)
The students have expressed their feelings in the project from the start. Their emotions are
represented by words on paper were visualised in an artistic sense via drawings, moulding
and volume creation. Expressing positive emotions strengthened their attitude and
communication skills. Various lifestyles and different affinities contributed to the creation of
completely diverse concepts which are presented in the group. Unfortunately, not all of
them could be realised, but there is definitely a large amount of material for deliberation
about how individuals view themselves and their environment.
This project promotes a healthy lifestyle because it includes an emotional and physical
engagement of individuals and the group. Using materials which are otherwise considered
as waste makes each of us aware of the durability of things, ecology and the differences
between all of us.Please, include the students’ reflections during and after the work
completion.
