The students create the appearance of the bee hotel
modelled on abstract paintings. The forms are painted in order to achieve
additional artistic diversity taking into consideration that space required for
the bees is 180mm deep and 6-8mm wide.
The students deliberated about the form of the bee
hotel taking into consideration inspirations from abstract art. They thought
about the possibility of the composition of shape and colour and in what way
could thoughts, feelings and emotions be presented in a nonliteral sense.
Raising awareness on the role and importance of every
individual in the care and protection of the environment was one on the most
important goals of the project. The students deliberated on the fragility and
endangerment of the ecosystem and with their bee hotels sent a message to
others in the hope of cooperation in the building of a healthier and better
environment.
