Apple Day

Urban life has a tendency of lowering the need for movement and physical activities which has a negative impact on our organism and leads to the accumulation of stress.
The workshop is designed to encourage students and teachers for movement and spending time outside in nature together. Various sports and recreational activities will have a beneficial effect on the organism and release tension. Spending the day together and doing sports will deepen togetherness and encourage stronger links between students and teachers.
The workshop takes place on October 20th 2018, the official international “Apple Day”
The program starts at 9 A.M. at the north entrance to the Marjan Park. The students chose between the bicycle tour lead by professor Falak and the walking tour under the guidance of professor Jalić. After a few hours exploring Marjan Park, the program continues at Bene, where sports facilities are located. The sports program starts there. The most interesting part was the football matches between the professors and students. They included everything: falls, torn knees, nerves and laughter. It’s important to point out that both teams played fair and there was wholehearted cheering for each team. Two matches were played, with the teachers winning both. Pure luck, the students say. Luck or not, the sports and recreational day on Marjan passed with loads of laughter, togetherness and fun. Everyone ate apples afterwards to regain their strength and went for a deserved rest. The workshop was talked about for days afterwards and we hope to repeat a day like it again soon.
